" This impressive property is wonderfully positioned on a quiet road on the fringes of the small, pretty and immensely popular market town of Stockbridge. Requiring some updating in places, but with spacious accommodation brimming with character, Little Dean Lodge represents a rare opportunity to acquire a substantial period house in the town. Attractive features include ornate cornicing and ceiling roses, high ceilings and open fireplaces as well as some fine views over the Test Valley from the upper part of the garden.

A central hallway is reached via a covered porch at the front, and from here the attractive original reception rooms radiate. These include a dining room with brick fireplace, a study at the rear and a spacious sitting room, again with brick fireplace. Nicely located in the extended part of the house adjacent to the dining room, is a good-sized kitchen/breakfast room with ample room for a large table, plentiful kitchen units, an Aga and a usefully pantry/utility room to one side. At the far end, beyond the sitting room, there is a large conservatory (with heating so that it can be used year-round), which in turn leads through to the back of the double garage. Steps lead up to an impressive terrace halfway up the bank at the rear - a lovely place for a table and chairs, and then the path continues further up to a decked seating area at the top of the bank which affords glorious views over the Test Valley.
