The location Originally called Love Lane, George Lane takes it's name from the old George Inn which stood on the site of the current Roman Catholic Church. 15 George Lane is located within a short walk of Coopers Meadow nature reserve which edges onto the River Kennet, and on into the High Street. To the rear are former allotments which are now going to form part of the playing fields for the future redevelopment of St Mary's primary school, thereby ensuring the privacy and views which the property currently enjoys.
