ALDBOURNE The village is famous for its church, as St Michael's has the largest Norman doorway of any parish church in Wiltshire and was famous for its bell foundry which between 1696 and 1826 made bells for many churches in Wiltshire and in surrounding counties. The village has featured in numerous television programs and even has its own web site. Facilities include Primary School, two public houses, post office, butchers, grocery store, clubs, sports facilites and regular bus services to Hungerford, Marlborough and Swindon. Motorway access at Hungerford and Swindon. THE PROPERTY 5 Cook road is located on the north eastern side of the village providing easy access to the downs for walking or cycling. It occupies a good sized mature plot which backs onto a lane leading to The Green, which is the oldest and most famous part of the village with great pub, popular primary school and impressive Church. This opens into the fourth bedroom, a normal single which enjoys a lovely view up the downs. Back onto the Landing and next left into the third bedroom. A double bedroom again enjoying a view to the front and built in wardrobes. Left into the second bedroom, again a good sized double bedroom with window to the rear, built in wardrobes and a wash basin. Next into the family bathroom with bath with shower over, toilet and wash basin and finally into the master bedroom. This room measures over 20' in length, has windows to the front and side and two double built in wardrobes. Door into the ensuite with walk in shower, toilet and wash basin. OK that is inside lets go outside. GARDENS To the front of the property is a lawned garden with various mature trees and shrubs, path to the front door. Gated access to the rear garden.
To the rear is a good sized garden, measuring approximately 80' x 50' not overlooked. Good sized lawn, paved patio area, well stocked flower and shrub beds and two timber sheds.
