Situation
Aldbourne nestles at the confluence of five downland valleys. This highly regarded village is centred on The Square with its duck pond and a delightful village green. The picturesque green with its Market Cross historically would have been the medieval market place. Adjacent to the church, the green is now a focal point for the village and hosts the village fete each year. The village offers a post office, cafe and village store, 2 pubs and a church, a good primary school and an active village community. The market towns of Marlborough and Hungerford are both about 8 miles away. The commercial centre of Swindon is approximately 7 miles and provides a main line station with services to London Paddington (about 55 minutes). The M4 motorway at either junction 15 (about 7 miles) or junction 14 (about 10 miles).
