The well-known 140ft high Faringdon Folly lies to the east of the town and was constructed for the eccentric Lord Berners in the mid โ€˜30s. The nearby A420 links the town to the dreaming spires of Oxford and the retail and commercial centre of Swindon with half hourly bus services to both.
