" Built in the 1930's this charming detached home is full of the features of the era. The entrance porch with stained glass windows, leads into the reception hall which has slender oak floorboards so fashionable of the period, picture rails and panelled doors, as well as a cloakroom. The front sitting room benefits from the bay window providing a view across the neat garden and the hedgerow of the lane. An open fire adds a focal point. The second reception has an impressive Arts and Crafts style fireplace, plus double doors opening out onto the enclosed rear garden. The kitchen/breakfast room has shaker style units, plus the original built-in dresser, a walk-in larder provides plenty of storage as does the adjacent utility room. Also with double doors leading to the garden is the study/garden room.

The retained period features extend up to the first floor landing. There are three very well-proportioned double bedrooms; two looking over the rear garden and one benefitting from the bay window and looking over the fields and trees to the front. The family bathroom and separate cloakroom completes the tour.

Situation
This charming home is situated on the edge of the sought after National Trust village of Lacock famous for its quintessential historic properties and Abbey. Just past the heart of the village, Bowden Hill climbs up flanked by National Trust fields. Bewley Lane is located just off this attractive road with the popular Bell Inn at the junction. The lane leads round to neighbouring Reybridge and is a very sought after part of the village. As well as being the most picturesque village it is also as an active village with a local primary school, three popular public houses, restaurants and tea rooms, post office and a variety of gift shops. There is easy access to Junction 17 of the M4 motorway, which in itself allows speedy travel to London or west to Bath and Bristol. Chippenham railway station is also on the main Paddington line with frequent services to London (approximately 75 minutes).
