" The Chase is a much sought after, gated cul-de-sac in this very fashionable Berkshire town and Pencarrow has a further set of security gates that open onto the driveway, which sweeps past the house to a large parking area in front of the triple garage.
The reception hall has a vaulted ceiling and open fireplace and really does set the scene for this lovely home. The current owners have modified and extended this property which now has a large orangery leading directly off the kitchenbreakfast room which means that this area now acts as the ‘hub‘ for family life. They also created a particularly impressive Principle suite so that the bedroom area not only leads to the dressing room and bathroom, but also out into a first floor conservatory and beyond onto a roof terrace. It is also worth noting that a secondary staircase leads from the dressing area up to a further room on the second floor. There is also an additional large dressing room on the second floor, ideal for ‘out of season‘ clothes - or of course it could be converted back into a bedroom if required.
The plot here extends to around 1 acre and a great deal of thought and planning has gone into the garden design. Situation
The Chase is set just to the West of Ascot racecourse and is a very desirable residential address. The High Street is about 1.4 miles by road or you can take a short cut by walking across Ascot Heath which sits in the middle of the racecourse. The High Street offers a good selection of local shopping facilities, coffee shops, restaurants and more extensive shopping centres can be found in Windsor and Camberley with large Waitrose supermarkets in both Sunningdale and Bagshot.   Recreational pass times in the general area include some of the world‘s finest and most exclusive golf clubs such as Wentworth, Sunningdale, The Berkshire and Swinley Forest. There are a number of excellent health and tennis clubs including David Lloyd leisure centres, cinemas and theatres along with word class spa hotels and restaurants such as Coworth Park and Penny Hill. You could even try your hand at polo with both the Guards Club and the Royal County of Berkshire Club being nearby. As far as schooling is concerned there is a first class choice with Charters being a very sought after state option and very well regarded private schools such as Papplewick (which is just a few yards away) St. George‘s, St. Mary‘s, Lambrook Prep School in Winkfield, LVS Ascot, Hall Grove, The Marist and a little further afield Wellington and Eton Colleges and the American Community School in Egham.
