" A beautiful family home situated just moments from the open heath. Built some time in the 1870s, this wonderful property is bursting with period charm and retains a wealth of period features.

Offered to the market in excellent order the current owners have created a home that has a genuinely inviting feel. Some of the most appealing features include ornate cornicing in the hall floor reception rooms, period or period style fireplaces and stripped wood floorboards. These lovely features have been complemented by elegant styling, including stunning wallpaper and hand built secondary glazing. Accommodation briefly comprises: entrance hall, two reception rooms, an open plan kitchen/family room, five bedrooms, two bathrooms and a separate WC. As one treads the steps which lead to the front door of this house you cannot help but be impressed by its quality. Your first impression in the entrance hall is of the high ceilings that are so sought after in buildings of this age, giving all rooms on this floor a fantastic feeling of space. A pair of French doors lead out from the rear reception onto a balcony with steps down to the south facing rear garden. The garden, which measures over 90ft feet, can also be accessed from the kitchen on the lower ground floor. To the immediate rear, an area of decking offers a great space for al fresco dining and entertaining with the rest of the garden mainly laid to lawn with mature shrubs and tree borders. To the front of this imposing building there is off street parking for several cars and side access to the garden. Vanbrugh Park is conveniently located for the various independent shops, caf?s and Marks & Spencer Food Hall at Blackheath Standard. A stroll across the heath will bring you to Blackheath Village with its array of shops, bars and restaurants and Blackheath Station which provides regular services to London Bridge, Cannon Street and Charing Cross. Alternatively, Westcombe Park station is equidistant offering similarly frequent services into town. A direct bus also provides access to North Greenwich for the Jubilee Line. Royal Greenwich Park is easily accessible across the heath to the West and there are a number of popular public and state schools locally, including Pointers, Blackheath Preparatory School, Blackheath High School and John Roan.
