" Grade II Listed and the former residence of Robert Burney, the Archdeacon of Colchester after whom the street was named, the house is the grandest and most imposing of a stunning Regency terrace. Built in c.1841, the property has been painstakingly restored by the current owners with a seamless blend of the beautiful original features including marble fireplaces, exposed wooden flooring and ceiling roses and striking contemporary design such as granite bathrooms and kitchen, recessed lighting and bespoke fitted wardrobes throughout. The kitchen and dining room is located on the ground floor and is flooded with natural light thanks to the high ceilings and original sash windows which are almost the full height of the room. The kitchen is given a contemporary and minimalistic feel with its dark granite worktops and integrated appliances cleverly concealed behind custom-made units. The dining room opens out onto the garden featuring York stone flags and mature olive trees and leads to the studio at the rear of the garden which has been designed to open up and create an amazing outside space great for summer parties. The main reception room is located on the first floor and once again benefits from three near full height sash windows and with its breathtakingly high ceilings, marble fireplace and exposed wooden floorboards makes it a truly wonderful entertaining space. Situated on the top floor and offering rooftop views towards Canary Wharf and the Cutty Sark is the master bedroom with bespoke fitted wardrobes on each side of the room and a beautiful dark granite en suite with a walk-in shower and bathtub. There is also a study on the first floor which could be used as an additional bedroom and two bedrooms on the second floor sharing a bathroom with floor to ceiling natural stone. The lower ground floor is laid out with a utility room, guest bedroom with en suite and a self-contained apartment ideal for a live in au pair.
The house has been meticulously designed to create the perfect family home and with Greenwich Park on it's doorstep as well as swift transport links to both The City and Canary Wharf, this has to be one of the most prestigious properties coming to the market in recent times.
