" Once upon a time local stores were everywhere. Then came the bigger stores, wiping out the smaller man on the street, and many small stores closed their doors forever. Halfway down Lincoln Road, only a couple of minutes walk away from either Dorking main train station or Dorking Deepdene there used to be a local grocery store, with the bakers shop opposite. Both of these have since been converted into houses, and this property was that very grocery shop.

Since extended this fabulous property now offers 4 bedrooms and a useful basement area over its four floors. Whilst the garden is small enough to be low maintenance, the front offers the huge advantage of an off-road parking space in this otherwise residential parking permit road.

Whether you want to catch a train, a bus, walk into town, drive to the M25, or south towards the coast, west towards Guildford, or east towards Reigate and beyond, you'd be hard pushed to find it easier. On top of that it won't take you long to walk to one of the many footpaths in Dorking for a nice gentle ramble.

This is a great property for a growing family. At one time in current ownership there were seven living here - but with some now flown the nest it's time for a reluctant downsize from this spacious family home.
