" GASCOIGNE PEES - Fiveways is an extremely attractive detached cottage dating back to 1850s and is situated in the historic village of Silchester.

This charming cottage boasts a spacious light and airy sitting room with open fire place with wood burner, country style fitted kitchen breakfast room and a separate dining room with a floor level 18th century groundwater well, lit with a spotlight which shows the original brick work and water below, capped by a circular toughened glass and wrought iron grid. The current vendors have also had a beautiful down stairs shower room fitted.

The first floor offers three very well proportioned bedrooms with pretty views and there is also a re fitted bathroom suite.

There is a privately enclosed triple aspect garden covering both sides and the front of the
property. The garden is enclosed by mature hedgerow and contains a lawn area with mature shrub bedding boarders, a shingled pathway leading to both sides of the property and front door. The parking area is separated from the garden by a continuous weave hazel fence and arch. Fiveways is situated in the popular village of Silchester, which lies on the Hampshire/Berkshire border 11 miles south-west of Reading, 12 miles south-east of Newbury and 7 miles north of Basingstoke. The village has a 12th century church, a primary school, a village hall, a pub and a range of well-supported events and activities throughout the year. Comprehensive leisure, sporting and retail facilities can be found in the nearby towns. Silchester is best known for the remains of the Roman town of Calleva Attrebatum, which lie a short walk from the property. There are numerous highly regarded independent schools in the area including Cheam, Horris Hill, Elstree, Bradfield, Leighton Park, Downe House and Queen Anne?s.
