" A delightful 3 bedroom cottage, set in the hamlet of Dunsden on the edge of the Chiltern hills, with views at the front and back over the beautiful South Oxfordshire countryside. The cottage has been extended on the ground floor and now provides a cosy living room which centres around a log burner, a family room/study, kitchen/dining room fitted with an Aga and a large family bathroom with a roll top bath and separate shower. To the first floor there are two double bedrooms and one single bedroom. Views through the windows of the bedrooms stretch for miles. To the front of the property there is a gravel driveway providing off road parking for three cars. The beautiful back garden which is mainly laid to lawn and bordered with well maintained flower beds and shrubs is both private and peaceful. There is a garden shed and two outdoor seating areas, one of which is at the bottom of the garden next to the mature apple tree and makes the most of the views over the adjoining farmland.
GROUND FLOOR ACCOMMODATION
The front door opens into the living room which centres around the large fireplace and log burning stove. The property has been tastefully decorated throughout to enhance and maintain many of its original features. A door leads from the living room into a central hall that provides access to the remaining ground floor accommodation. The second reception room which is currently used as a study would make an equally good playroom or family room. Dunsden Green is a small hamlet in South Oxfordshire, with a church and village hall. In the neighbouring village of Playhatch, there are a couple of well regarded pubs and further afield in Binfield Heath is a Post Office and Stores. The larger village of Sonning Common is a five minute drive and has a wide range of shops, schools and a Health Centre. The major towns of Reading and Henley on Thames are a ten minute drive away, both providing rail links into London. There is also a great commuting service from Shiplake Railway Station just two miles away.
