Torpoint is an 18th Century town and was commissioned by Reginald Pole Carew in the parish of Antony in 1774 and is situated on the Rame Peninsula. Twinned with the town of Benodet in Brittany, Torpoint lies opposite the Naval City of Plymouth and is bordered by the Rivers Lynher , Hamoaze and Tamar.
