THE PROPERTY Orchard House is an impressive stone built detached village property, in the latter stages of construction, which has been sympathetically designed and built in the style of a traditional Cotswold manor house with major attention to historical detail.
The property stands on a large plot in a prime location in this sought after village with far reaching views over fields and countryside to the front.
The main house will provide impressive accommodation featuring particularly well proportioned rooms and there is also a self contained 'wing' which at present provides a comfortable cottage annex but has been designed to be easily incorporated into the main house or retained as an annex. There is also a substantial stone built detached triple garage and utility block with rooms above, presently used as home offices, which could provide further self contained 'coach house' accommodation, subject to any necessary planning consents. In all the property offers in excess of 7000 sq feet of accommodation.
There is also ample additional parking space on the courtyard to the front, a large stone garden outbuilding to the side and extensive walled gardens.
The work on the property will not be completed. LOCATION Although Orchard House occupies an enviable and secluded position on the edge of the village overlooking countryside it is only a short walk from village amenities including a beautiful village church, a village hall with an excellent community shop, primary school and health centre with its own pharmacy. There is also the major advantage of a railway station providing a service into Oxford and onto London, Paddington. The village also provides easy access into Oxford c. 6 miles and to the M40 (junction 9 c.4 miles). Islip remains one of the most sought after villages in this region and is steeped in history being the birthplace of Edward the Confessor.
