West Oxford is some 15 minutes´ walk west of the heart of Oxford city and a few minutes from the busy intercity rail station. This area is located amongst several green spaces and canal/riverside walks. 'Modern' West Oxford, was built on the site of Osney's ancient Abbey, and now extends west across from the cottages of Osney Island and out along the causeway towards Seacourt and Botley. These short streets comprise of both Victorian, Edwardian and 1930s houses, all close to the open parks/green areas. The community supports a good range of shops, several public houses, a primary school, local businesses and community centre.  

Helen Road, was laid out by Thomas Henry Kingerlee (builder) around 1902 and constructed a few years after (approximately 1910/1911). Thomas Henry Kingerlee named Helen Road and the adjoining street (Henry Road) after two of his children. Number 7 Helen Road benefits from an ´light´ east-west orientation, with a combined sitting & dining room, and a kitchen breakfast room with terracotta tiled floor, a decorative period cast iron cooking ´range´, situated within the chimney breast, and twin doors leading out to the west facing rear garden. Careful detail has been continued throughout the house with period fireplaces, paneled doors with corresponding door furniture, and careful attention has been given to retaining the period features within the property.

FIRST FLOOR Stairs rise to the landing with panelled doors to all first floor accommodation. Further staircase to the second floor.  

BEDROOM ONE 12' 11" x 10' 11" (3.94m x 3.33m) Chimney breast with ornate fire surround and cast iron fire. Tiled inserts and hearth. Bulit in wardrobes to either side with panelled doors and period style door furniture. Three sash windows to the front aspect. Radiator. Picture rail. Exposed floor boards. 

BEDROOM TWO 11' 9" x 8' 8" (3.58m x 2.64m) With painted wood floorboards, a rear aspect sash window, radiator and a feature fireplace with ornate surround. Sash window to rear. Built in cupboard to side of chimney breast.
