The area around Brixworth once had a large ironstone quarrying industry, and several industrial railways existed in the area. Local amenities include Greengrocers, butchers, hairdressers, cafes, public houses and garages. Churches include Brixworth Christian fellowship and All Saints Church. Brixworth C.E.V.C. Primary School is situated 8 miles north of Northampton, set in picturesque countryside close to Brixworth Country Park and Pitsford Reservoir.
