" This four-bedroom detached house has been improved and refurbished by the current owners since September 2018, with a considerable contemporary makeover that has included triple-glazed windows, composite front and rear doors, oak internal doors, a fitted kitchen, replacement bathroom and en suite, renewed flooring, a Baxi boiler - fitted in 2019 with the remainder of a 7-year warranty - and significant improvements to the garden, including composite decking and the recent addition of the wooden cabin.

The accommodation comprises, on the ground floor: entrance hall with tiled flooring and part-panelled walls (and with a useful door for access into the integral garage), contemporary W.C., dining room open into the living room with part-panelled walls, rear bay window and French doors out to the decking and garden, an impressive fitted contemporary kitchen with grey units, granite worktops, Belfast sink and induction hob (and also including a Swan American-style fridgefreezer and an integrated microwave) and a utility room with fitted units.

Accessed just off the A694 - which provides a direct link to Rowlands Gill (3.5 miles), Consett (4.9 miles), Newcastle (12.5 miles) and the A1(M) - it is located in the Derwent Valley where there are several popular countryside walks and cycle routes including the Derwent Walk and Red Kite Trail, as well as Chopwell Woods and the spacious grounds of the National Trust Gibside estate, in Rowlands Gill.
