" The property is one of the more important houses in the village of North Marston. It is an imposing house built of mellow brickwork under a pantiled roof. The windows are mainly uPVC sealed unit double glazed units. The house is currently divided into the main house and a wing which would readily adapt to form a single dwelling.
The origins date back to the 1700s with major additions in the Victorian era and a wing built in the 1990s.
Outside there are two driveways to the house and a walled front garden.

Situation
The pretty village of North Marston is situated about 7 miles North of the County Town of Aylesbury (Marylebone 55 minutes) and about 3.5 miles from the market town of Winslow. The village has a village hall, a pub called the Pilgrim with a successful restaurant, a recreation ground and sports field with pavilion, running track, nature trail and cricket nets. There is a CofE village school for children up to the age of 11. A community shop was established in 2011.
The village is famous for Sir John Schorne who was rector in 1300. During a drought he discovered a well that was reputed to have miraculous healing properties. He had a reputation for holiness such that he is believed to have trapped the devil in a boot which many consider was the origin of the Jack in the Box. When he died in 1313 the village became a popular place of pilgrimage with pilgrims who came to take the waters from the Holy Well. This was renovated in 2004/5 and may still be seen.

Outside
Outside there are two driveways to the house and a walled front garden. To the rear are generous lawned gardens with a variety of mature trees including Holly, Horse Chestnut, Oak, ornamental Cherry and an orchard of top fruit trees.

There is an area of hardstanding for vehicles in front of an Open fronted Garage/ Workshop, Pony Box, Workshop Barn. Beyond are pasture paddocks and a small spinney. In all the grounds extend to approximately 3.2 acres.
