" Built in 1825 and set in the rural village of Selling, near Faversham, this property is draped in history and character with original exposed beams and evidence of the working Oast. The very spacious kitchen / dining room is on the ground floor and has beautiful Chinese slate flooring throughout. There are plenty of farmhouse units matched with granite worktops, a range style cooker, a large pantry and a central island. The kitchen dining area has enough room for a family sized table and there is access via double doors to the courtyard garden. Completing the downstairs accommodation is a WC with basin. Upstairs on the first floor there is a separate dining room and living room, both with double doors leading out to balconies overlooking the garden and country views beyond. The living room also has a walk around chimney breast in the centre housing a wood burner. There is also a large study on this floor which could easily be used as a fifth bedroom and has access out to a paved rear courtyard. From this floor two staircases lead to separate parts of the second floor. On one side there are two double bedrooms, both with deep storage cupboards and a bathroom with bath, WC and basin. On the other side there are a further two bedrooms, one single and one double with en suite shower room and large walk in wardrobe. Completing this side of the second floor is another bathroom with bath, WC and basin.
Outside
As well as having a substantial lawn area with log store and summer house, there are many other places to sit down and enjoy the beautiful countryside. As you enter through the gate, there is a large shingled courtyard with space for a good sized table and chairs where the oast roundels were. You can step out of the dining or living room onto balconies that overlook the lawn area and fields and a bridge that takes you directly into the garden. There is a large storage area with large cupboard and another that houses the oil tank There is also a detached garage with parking in front.
