This extended and beautifully presented grade II listed house is believed to be one of a few original Tudor buildings in Abbey Street. This house has great charm and character, with period features which include exposed oak beams, oak panelling and an original open fireplace. You enter the house into the sitting room, which is well lit by a good sized bay window, looking out on to Abbey Street. This room has a real cosy feel to it, with the exposed brick fireplace and cast iron stove forming the focal point. The sitting room leads into a modern fitted kitchen, presenting quality fitted units finished with stone work-surfaces and matching tiled flooring, with under-floor heating. The under stairs space is used to house a washing machine and fridge/freezer. The dining room, which was built in 2014, features a splendid oak-beamed vaulted ceiling and offers a great additional space, whilst providing access to stairs leading down to the wine cellar. A useful lobby with sink provides handy storage and access to the beautiful garden. On the first floor, the well-proportioned master bedroom features exposed beams to the side wall, creating an alcove which allows a great storage space. The quality fitted bathroom is tiled from floor to ceiling with stone-effect tiles, benefitting from underfloor heating. It not only features a bath, but also doubles as a wet room with both traditional and overhead shower. The 2nd bedroom is also a double, benefitting from built in cupboards. The 3rd double bedroom located on the top floor, features a vaulted ceiling and original exposed beams. A very useful boarded loft storage space is located off the 3rd bedroom. A good-sized, beautiful rear garden, benefits from a traditional-style summer house, brick-built garden store, log store and stand-alone WC. The garden has its own separate side access.
Abbey Street contains some of Faversham's most historic buildings and is ideally located, being just a short walk to the town centre and station Faversham itself offers a wide range of specialist shops, superb choice of eateries, outdoors swimming pool, theatre and cinema to name a few.
