" This 1930's home has only had 2 owners since it was built in 1936 and retains some of the 1930's style features. If you appreciate the character and style of this era, then you should definitely look at this. Some of the original style features to note here include, the fireplace in the dining room and master bedroom. The owner also informs us the internal doors are original to the house and he has had these stripped since living here. Its hard to image that when this house was built and these items installed, the second world war had not even have taken place! The house benefits from two separate reception rooms, which means you can enjoy an informal lounge for watching TV and perhaps a more formal dining room for entertaining guests. The location here is just off of City Way - arguably one of Rochester's most prestigious roads. It would present an excellent purchase for a family or a first time buyer. Rochester itself is a sought after location. Buyers enjoy the wealth of history on offer such as Rochester Castle and Cathedral. Some will appreciate the history of the historic High Street, while others may appreciate the range of pubs, restaurants and night life on offer. This home would also be great for anyone looking to purchase a home with no chain complications as the current owner will be moving into rented accommodation.

What the Owner says:

This house gave us the best of both worlds when we bought it in 1996, a great location at an affordable price. This will probably be why someone else buys it now.Arthur Road really is a nice road. We enjoy being able to walk to the High Street for a nice Italian or a night at the pub. Jackson's Fields at the bottom of City Way is great for taking the kids for a game of football. The train station and motorway close by are also very handy for work. I loved the 1930's style of this house and it was actually the lovely bay windows that attracted me to it. As a carpenter by trade I appreciate the traditional and solid construction provided by the 1930's builder.
