The property also benefits from modern fitted kitchen, partial upvc double glazing and views to the quarry and mountains beyond. The vendor tells us that the property has been in their family's possession ever since it was built in 1882-83.

The workshop was authentically restored in 2002, the roof slates are the "left-over" kind, rougher, less regular slates reserved for that very purpose when the house was first slated 1882. 70% of the slates are original, the other 30% being sourced locally. The original roof light is still in place. The fireplace was restored using reclaimed bricks to match, the restored interior walls have been treated with a transparent coating to preserve the mortar and reduce dust and dirt levels [important if the space were to be used as a studio].
