" The owners have done everything they can to this lovely split-level maisonette. Positioned near the entrance to the development so it's not far to carry the weekly shopping, it is ideally located on the ground floor, affording delightful views and access onto the park-like communal grounds - a real delight to use but not have to maintain! One of the first things that strikes you is the space the property offers. The owners have created a larger than average kitchen, fitted with a stylish range of birch-effect cupboards with complementary work surfaces and fitted appliances. The hall has oak-effect laminate flooring that continues through a door, with glass brick surround for added natural light, into a bright and spacious lounge with a fabulous outlook. Upstairs, the two generous double bedrooms are complemented by a recently refitted bathroom with thermostatic shower and fully tiled walls including a substantial built-in mirror. The owners have painstakingly stripped the skirting boards and door architraves throughout the property and have added natural pine doors internally, all creating a comfortable homely environment. As first time buyers, we looked in a wide area before settling on Cranleigh, even though we had family here. To be honest, we were looking for value for money and Hailey Place was head and shoulders above the rest. Even though we were faced with some updating, we have enjoyed stamping our mark on our home and have really liked living here - everyone is so friendly, it's a real community. We particularly enjoy being on the ground floor because we can open our lounge door and sit outside which is great in the summer. To have our own garage is also something you rarely get with a property of this price and is a real bonus.
