" This period cottage has been extended over the years but still retains many of its original features including exposed wall and ceiling timbers, wooden flooring and fireplaces to mention but a few. This home has the ?wow? factor of years gone by, and features to still marvel at include the original wattle and daub that can be seen in various places. There are two entrances to the front, one being the original entrance into the public house which ceased trading during the 1960s, and the other into the once accommodation of the inn. As you enter the hall you feel as though you are walking back in time and you cant wait to see the rest of the house. Around every corner there is something special to see. The delightful sitting room has an open fireplace and of course exposed timbers which feature in every room. The study has doors out into the garden and is home to the oldest beam in the cottage. The good-sized dining room has a wonderful inglenook fireplace with bread oven behind and wood panelling to the walls. There is a wood-panelled family room which could also be used as a bedroom as this room also has access to the downstairs bathroom. The superb kitchen/breakfast room with flagstone flooring, has a stunning vaulted ceiling, a double bowl Butler sink and Aga. The owners currently have free-standing furniture which adds further character to this room. A door leads down to the cellar and a small boot room has access to the garden. T he useful utility room has another Butler sink, plumbing for a washing machine and vent for the tumble dryer and a door to the rear garden. The cloakroom which low level w.c. and wash basin is accessed from this room. The bathroom is fitted with an angular bath, pedestal wash basin and low level w.c.

There are two sets of stairs leading to the first floor. The first in the hall leads to the double aspect master bedroom which has fitted wardrobe cupboards and a walk-in wardrobe. There is a very pretty fireplace and of course stunning beams and flooring. The double aspect second bedroom is also accessed from this side of the cottage. Stairs from an inner hallway lead to bedroom 3 which has original flooring and in the loft above, we are advised there is a smoke hood which was used prior to the use of chimneys. The family bathroom is fitted with a panelled bath, low level w.c. and storage cupboards, one of which has access to space where wattle and daub can be admired. This thatched cottage is to be admired and the only way to do that is to come and see it for yourself.
