" Enjoying a sunny disposition and approached by a side hall leading to just 2 flats, a well arranged ground floor 1 double bedroom retirement apartment in a frequently requested complex within 250 yards level walk of the High Street.

The apartment has three aspects, the main two being south westerly and south easterly with direct access to the small yet attractive area of the landscaped communal gardens. Built to a different design than most others on the development, the property was constructed by well regarded specialist 'later living' developers, McCarthy & Stone (Developments) Ltd in 1999, a condition of purchase being that residents are over the age of 60 years or in the event of a couple, one must be over the age of 60 years and the other over 55 years. In addition to the south westerly outlook across Ackender Road to the church spire of All Saints, characteristics include double glazing with night ventilators and security locks, electric/storage heating, coved ceilings, a combination of maple effect and glazed panelled internal doors with brass finished handles, and moulded architraves and skirting boards. To save space, built-in cupboards feature in the bedroom and reception hall. Power and light switchplates are at a strategic height.

Communal facilities for this development of 72 flats include a lift, residents lounge, laundry, a twin bedded guest room on the ground floor in the adjoining main block, and a number of alternative external doors allowing alternative access to the adjoining roads of Ackender Road and Rack Close Road leading in turn to the High Street and Westbrooke public gardens. In addition, there is a House Manager, a 24-hour emergency Careline system, a programme of events, a security alarm and refuse area.

The apartment is located in a discreet position on the southern corner of Willow Court with a communal hall unique to this and one other apartment. Set within level landscaped communal gardens, Willow Court is a 2/3 storey development fronting Ackender and Rack Close Roads, which are access-only roads lying on the western side of Alton's historic town centre. There are individual and multiple shops, M&S, Sainsbury's, Boots and Iceland stores, a library, hotels and restaurants, a museum and gallery, and a variety of associations. Alton also has Westbrooke Gardens reached via a residents gate onto Rack Close Road with its bowls club and a calendar of summer activities, weekly street and farmers market events, a station (Waterloo line) with a Waitrose store nearby, a sports centre and 2 outlying golf courses.
