" Great Gulls is an attractive, attached, brick and stone built cottage now requiring modernisation. The house was formerly a Cowdray Cottage and sits in generous gardens measuring 0.38 acre with a lovely rural outlook. The accommodation currently comprises kitchen/dining room, sitting room with fireplace, downstairs bathroom and two double bedrooms on the first floor. While Great Gulls is attached to a Listed property it was not within the curtilage when 'Arms' was listed in 1987. It is however in the South Downs National Park and the Lodsworth Conservation Area so would be assessed as such for any planning applications.
Situation
Lodsworth is a pretty and very popular village nestled between Petworth and Midhurst to the north of A272 and to the south of Haslemere. The village has a great community feel which involves a village shop run by the local villagers, the popular Hollist Arms, a church and village hall. The more comprehensive shopping facilities of Petworth and Midhurst are approximately 4 miles away and Haslemere with its mainline station is 8 miles to the north. The area is surrounded by some beautiful countryside - much of which is in the South Downs National Park - ideal for walking and horse riding and Chichester and the South Coast offer many sailing opportunities.
