" If you are looking for a home that you can move into without having to worry about refitting kitchens and bathrooms and taking on a lot of DIY but still want the pleasures of living in a period home, then this might be something for you. Throughout this is a home of beautifully presented accommodation that retains many of the features that one would expect to find in a house of this vintage such as high ceilings, elaborate cornices, fireplaces and that feeling of old world charm that only comes with houses from a past era. On the ground floor there is a large sitting/dining room with a lovely square bay window, with fitted shutters and on the back a superbly equipped kitchen breakfast room that has room for a table and chairs. Behind this there is also a large utility room. Upstairs there are 2 double bedrooms, the main one of which is unusually big, and a large and very nicely fitted out bathroom. At the back of the house is a lovely garden with a brick terrace that is a super spot for outside dining in the summer and beyond this an area of lawn, all of which gives the house a charming setting. Part of the pleasure of the house is undoubtedly its position as it is just a stroll across the road to the High Street with it's vast array of eateries and shops and entertainment options including the multi screen cinema, the Yvonne Arnaud Theatre and the soon opening G Live venue. The countryside around Guildford is renowned for its scenic beauty and provides miles of walking, cycling and riding "
