" This elegant and stylish property is set within mature walled grounds and is believed to have been constructed in the early 19th Century. Vandyke is a very much loved family home offering well-proportioned and versatile accommodation filled with character features. The entrance hall has a flagstone floor and an imposing staircase with a high ceiling and there are two impressive, interconnecting reception rooms both with superb views from their bay windows, and ornate fireplaces. The kitchen/breakfast room is the heart of the house due to its practical design and location, the Aga and access to both the kitchen grounds, and the secondary front entrance via the laundry room

(leading to a gardeners? privy). On both the first and top floors there are several windows with seats and shutters, stone mullion windows, exposed beams and stripped floor boards. Each level has a principal bedroom with a ?Jack & Jill? design bathroom. There are also picture rails and feature fireplaces too. An internal inspection is highly recommended so that the charm of this Cotswold house can be seen.

Situation
Situated in an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty and amidst 600 acres of National Trust land, Amberley village includes a Hotel, Post Office/General Store, 2 Public Houses, Primary School and Church. In addition, there are a variety of local clubs and societies. The bustling market town of Nailsworth is 1.5 miles away where there is an award winning bakery and delicatessen plus a variety of independent shops. More extensive facilities are found in the town of Stroud (3.5 miles). Communications for the long distance commuter are excellent with main line intercity railway services to London (Paddington) being available in Stroud. There is a wide choice of schools in the area including the highly-regarded Marling School for Boys, Stroud High School, Westonbirt School and the colleges in Cheltenham, Wycliffe and Rendcomb. The renowned prep school, Beaudesert Park, is on Minchinhampton Common and Amberley as its own primary school.

Outside
A period Cotswold stone wall surrounds the property and encloses the grounds creating a feeling of security and privacy.
