" Situated in the Exe Valley, between the rivers Exe and Culm is the Parish of Silverton, which has a thriving local community and provides excellent facilities including a late opening general store, post office, newsagent, butcher, three inns, primary school, health centre and Church. Cullompton, approximately five miles, has a wider range of shopping, including a supermarket and recreational facilities and also provides easy access to the M5 (J28). Approximately 7 miles to the South is the city of Exeter which provides a number of excellent private and state schools at all levels together with a red brick university and expanding college. The City affords excellent sports and leisure facilities being situated on the river and offering a selection of theatres, cinemas, museum, cathedral, football, rugby and leisure centres. Rail links to London Paddington about two hours. Exeter Airport is about 10 miles away providing regular air services to UK and International destinations. Tiverton, 7 miles to the north, also has a wide range of facilities and a prestigious public school.
