Leave Exeter on the A396 Tiverton Road and proceed through the villages of Stoke Canon and Rewe. Shortly after passing the Ruffwell Inn take the right turn signed Silverton. Follow this road into the centre of the village and at the mini roundabout take the second exit, straight ahead,  into School Road then take the first turning left into Wyndham Road. The Meads will be found a short distance along on your right almost opposite the Village Hall and doctor’s surgery.

Situation

Silverton lies approximately 7 miles north of Exeter and offers a good range of amenities, including a Church, three Inns, Primary school, General Store/Butchers, Doctors Surgery (directly opposite the Meads) with its own pharmacy, Post Office, Village Hall and Sports Clubs. There are regular bus services to Exeter and the National Trust Killerton House and Estate is only a short distance away. The mobile library stops directly outside The Meads on its visits to Silverton.

Description

Built in the early 1990’s, The Meads is a residential Retirement Home comprising 33 properties arranged over two floors with a lift to the First Floor. The development benefits from a Residents Lounge, Communal Laundry, central Refuse Room, Guest Suite and Communal Gardens. The part time visiting House Manager can be contacted from within each property in the case of emergency. In the event the House Manager is off duty there is a 24 hour emergency Careline response service. There are resident car parking spaces available and allocated spaces for visitors.

Two bedside cupboards and a double chest of drawers. Emergency alarm pull cord, television point and Economy 7 heater.
