SITUATION AND AMENITIES Meadowside is a mature, small, select development of detached bungalows, chalets and houses in the favoured village of Ashford. Chantry occupies a slightly elevated position, with views over open farmland to the Taw estuary in the distance. Ashford is located between Barnstaple, the regional centre for North Devon, about 2.6 miles from the coast. The glorious sandy, surfing beaches of Saunton Sands, Croyde Bay, Putsborough Sands and Woolacombe are all within easy reach and the village of Braunton with it's excellent range of facilities is nearby. For golfers, the local club at Saunton has two magnificent links courses. Barnstaple, the principle town of the North Devon region is just a few minutes drive away, and is a bustling thriving community with excellent facilities. There, access is gained to the North Devon Link Road (A361), and this provides a fast route to the M5 motorway at Tiverton (Junction 27) about 30 miles. There is also the Tiverton Parkway mainline railway station (London Paddington 2 hours approximately). Exeter, the cathedral city and county town with it's international airport, is about 40 miles away. DESCRIPTION Chantry is a detached bungalow of conventional construction built on a brick plinth rendered and colourwashed beneath an interlocking clay tiled roof, with UPVc fascias and barge boards and UPVc rain water goods. The property has original double glazed crittall framed windows throughout, and has cavity wall insulation. OUTSIDE The property is approached from the road via a vehicular access gate over a paved driveway and parking area which leads to a DETACHED SINGLE GARAGE To the north. The garage is rendered externally beneath a clay tiled roof. A concreted path surrounds the property, as does the garden, which is mainly laid to lawn with some herbaceous borders. A low level block wall adjoins the road to the front, in all the plot extends to approximately 0.21 acres. The boiler is housed externally within a cupboard, adjacent to the back door, and there is a modern oil tank sited immediately behind the garage.
