SITUATION
Penkenna Close is a quiet cul-de-sac on this popular development in this pretty North Cornish village.  In the village is a well stocked post office/village store, number of home delivery services and a good local bus service providing transportation to a number of nearby towns and other villages.  In addition, a school bus service operates from the village to Bude and Camelford Comprehensive Schools, whilst there is a good primary school at Jacobstow, some four miles.  About one mile is the picturesque bay of Crackington Haven with its own public house, café, popular beach and spectacular coastal walks.  The A39 ‘Atlantic Highway’ with good access North up to Bude and South further on into Cornwall is approximately three miles distant, with Bude offering a wide range of shopping, business and leisure facilities.  Wainhouse Corner with petrol station, larger general store and public house is also about three miles away.  The ancient capital town of Cornwall, Launceston, is approximately 15 miles, where direct access can be gained on to the A30 dual carriageway, which in turn links with the M5 motorway at Exeter.

From Bude take the A39 ‘Atlantic Highway’ passing through Poundstock and Wainhouse Corner, some 10 miles and then take your next right signposted ‘Boscastle and Tintagel’ (the B3263).  Follow this road for approximately 1½ miles and turn right at Tresparrett Posts signposted ‘Crackington Haven’.  Follow this road into the village of Higher Crackington, proceed down the hill passing the village shop and the Institute and then take the second right hand turn into Haven Road.  Follow the road to the ‘T’ junction and turn left, then first right into Penkenna Close and No 9 can be found towards the end of the cul de sac on your right hand side.
