The Area

Barnard Castle is an historic market town which provides a range of shopping, educational and recreational facilities. The Demesnes which is a delightful open recreational space lies eastwards along the river from where there are further walks. Often referred to as the ?Gateway to Teesdale? there are many renowned beauty spots close at hand as well as the attractions of the North Yorkshire Moors, the Lake District and Northumberland.

For the commuter the A66, A67 and A1 (M) provide links with the major commercial centres of the North East. Darlington Mainline Railway Station and Durham Tees Valley International Airport offer further communications with the rest of the country.

The Property

12 King Street is a traditional stone built property located in the heart of the town. The property retains a host of original features and character and benefits from gas fired central heating and double glazing throughout.

There is space for a freestanding cooker, refrigerator and washing machine and windows which look out to the rear garden and rear porch.

The rear porch is a recent additional to the property and is accessed from the entrance hall and provides access to rear courtyard.

The cellars are accessed from the entrance hall via stone steps. The cellars have good head height and flags to the floor. The cellar is split into two rooms, with additional coal store and light and power connected, The cellars are currently utilised as a workshop and store.
