DESCRIPTION

The rear garden is simply a delight and is mainly laid to lawn and enclosed by fencing and hedging, there is a patio area immediately adjacent to the rear of the property and a vegetable plot separating the lawn into two distinct areas. There are also two sheds, a greenhouse and another shed with light and power that the current owners use as a music room.

We returned to Sandwich from Cornwall, as having grown up in Sandwich we know it is a lovely area and a very safe, friendly community for young and old.   We wanted a good education too, for our son, and knew he would get it at either Sandwich Technology School or Sir Roger Manwoods Grammar School.
Johns Green is a quiet cul-de-sac, and has a reputation of being one of the nicest places to live in Sandwich, we love our garden, and the views across farmland. Having been very happy here for the past 28 years, the only reason we are selling our home is so that we can go and join our family in Australia.

LOCATION AND AMENITIES

Johns Green is a cul de sac location adjoining and overlooking farmland towards the edge of the Ancient Cinque Port Town of Sandwich. Local amenities include a supermarket, shops, banks, post office, chemist, doctor's and dental surgeries, and restaurants, with an Infant, Junior and two highly regarded Secondary schools including Sir Roger Manwood Grammar school and leisure facilities. Sandwich Station provides a mainline service to London St. Pancras at peak times (approximately 107 minutes) and to London Charing Cross approximately 138 minutes). There is good access to the busy Coastal Port of Dover approximately 8 miles away and the Cathedral City of Canterbury is about 14 miles distant.
Sandwich has two world-class golf courses, Royal St George's which hosts The Open Championship approximately every 10 years and Prince's which hosted The Open Championship in 1932 and is currently an Open Championship Final Qualifying course. The Open Championship has returned to Sandwich in 2011.

DIRECTIONS

From Canterbury proceed East along the A257 through Littlebourne, Wingham and past Ash. Once you reach the turning for the A256 take the third exit, then take the 1st exit onto the A258 at the roundabout, at the next roundabout take the 1st exit onto the Deal Road, from there turn left into Dover Road and then right into Johns Crescent. The property can be found on the left hand side.
