*** Guide price $475,000 - £500,000 *** This stunningly modernised, end-of-terrace, three-bed home was built in the early 1910s. It retains some amazing character details, like the original front door, original stained glass, original stair spindles, and even some of the original neighbours.

Thornton Heath station and ‘The Big Tesco’ are just a 10-minute walk away (7 minutes if you walk to the beat of ‘Staying Alive’ by the Bee Gees). Southern Rail can get you from Thornton Heath to Victoria or London Bridge in approximately 30 minutes. There is also a great corner shop at the top of the road for last-minute items, and the local pub has £4.50 pints.

The house features engineered wood floors throughout the downstairs and a carpeted landing and bedrooms. For those chilly months, the bathroom boasts underfloor heated tiles, with windows that are double-glazed throughout. For the annual 3 days of summer, opening the front windows and back door creates a wonderful breeze through the home.

There are two double bedrooms (which can easily house a king-sized bed) and a single bedroom that is also perfect as an office. The utility room is located behind a secret bookcase door and houses the washer and dryer and additional storage.

The southeast-facing garden was built for entertaining and designed to be low-maintenance. Six raised planters with high-quality soil provide ample opportunity for green-thumbed individuals to grow something exotic or those less inclined to drop in something colourful and call it a day. The shed at the back also spans the width of the garden and provides fantastic storage and workspace.

All of the living spaces are on the end-of-terrace side of the house, so there is no sound from the friendly neighbours. The expansive loft has fully boarded floors, providing immense storage space, and has the potential to be converted into a fourth bedroom.

The house is also within walking distance of Selhurst Park football stadium, great local schools, and a 10-15 minute bus to the Crystal Palace Triangle, West Croydon Shopping Centre, and Box Park. The road itself is tree-lined and bends in a unique ‘U’ shape. This means that cars only drive down the road if they live here or are making deliveries, resulting in a quiet and peaceful oasis in the otherwise bustling metropolis of Thornton Heath.
