" Hortons is a fine Grade II Listed period property believed to date back to the 17th/18th century, of timber frame construction with rendered elevations under a tiled roof. The property stands at right angles to the High Street and Deynes Road and was originally a row of individual cottages. In recent years the property has been extended with a two-storey addition providing a spacious drawing room and master bedroom suite. The large reception hall has parquet flooring, an inglenook fireplace, staircase to first floor and links through to the sitting room/snug. The dining room is a particular feature with parquet flooring and many exposed timbers. The well appointed kitchen/breakfast room has a good range of base and wall cabinets, work surfaces and fitted appliances. A second stairwell leads to the first floor and the ground floor is complimented by a bright and spacious drawing room with a fireplace. The master bedroom has fitted wardrobes and, leading from its corridor entrance, a bathroom/dressing room. The principal landing area gives access to 3 further bedrooms; two with fitted wardrobes and wash basins and a family bathroom fitted with a white suite.
Outside, gate entrances from the High Street and Deynes Road lead to the formal gardens which are principally laid to lawn with mature tree and shrub planting and extensive terracing. There is a rear terrace area with a brick wall surround, timber frame shed and a detached double garage (19' x 16' 7") of block construction with rendered elevations under a tiled roof, twin up-and-over doors, rear storage room and workshop. In all, the grounds extend to approx. 0.19 of an acre (100ft x 90ft total plot).Directions

From Saffron Walden proceed out of the town via the High Street, passing the War Memorial on your left hand side, turning left into Debden Road. Follow this road out of the town for approximately 4 miles. At the staggered crossroads continue over into Debden Village. After passing Yuva restaurant on your left, proceed into the High Street and the property will be found on the left hand side. If proceeding into Deynes Road, the property will be found on the right hand side. "
