" Nottages is a fine and distinctive detached, Grade II Listed period house, believed to date back to the 16th/17th century, of timber frame construction with plastered elevations and further 20th century additions. The property is arranged on three levels with a central chimney stack and retains many fine features including inglenook fireplaces to the principal reception rooms, a wealth of exposed timbers and a stunning kitchen/breakfast/living room with an Aga and fine views of the gardens and grounds beyond. There is a master bedroom suite with a dressing area and en suite shower room, five further bedrooms; two with en suites, and a family bathroom.

The formal gardens are a particular feature with extensive terracing, a small wooded area and paddocks. Set within the grounds are a range of outbuildings which include a luxury office complex with a decked area overlooking the pond, store rooms, double barn-style garage with workshops and a most charming detached office. There is a further large paddock/land area divided into three sections and, in all, the grounds extend to approximately 6 acres.Directions

From Saffron Walden take the B184 Thaxted Road to Wimbish. Upon entering Wimbish take the left hand turn n++ signposted to Wimbish Green. Continue into Wimbish Green and at the junction bear right passing the School. Continue along this road for approximately 1.5 miles and take the next turning right n++ signposted to Wimbish Lower Green. Follow the road round to the right and the property will be found immediately on the left hand side. "
