DESCRIPTION
This is a most attractive period cottage dating from the 1700s and Grade II Listed. The property is mentioned in the Sussex edition of the Buildings of England and describes its brick and timber framed construction of architectural merit. As you approach the property steps lead up to the front door which open into the entrance hall, turning to your left you are greeted with a good sized sitting room with a wonderful working fireplace, exposed timbers and beams. Further reception room would make a dining room or snug. The kitchen has a wonderful brick flooring and exposed beams, butler sink and Aga leading to a useful utility room. From the rear lobby stairs lead up to the the first floor landing with principal bedroom, a dressing area leads through to an ensuite bathroom. There is a further bedroom at this level. The property retains an abundance of character features. The thatched roof has recently been replaced, the south facing gardens are well stocked and offer far reaching rural views. "
