" A modern one double bedroom top apartment set in a handy location just a short distance from Southbourne Grove available for sale on a 50% shared ownership basis. Please call for further information or to arrange your inspection.

* Top floor apartment * One double bedroom * Lounge * 11'6 fitted kitchen * Bathroom * Double glazing * Gas central heating * Convenient location close to Southbourne Grove * Available on a 50% shared ownership basis *

Direction Note:  From our office in Southbourne proceed in the direction of Pokesdown into Seabourne Road.

This well presented top floor apartment is set in a great location giving easy access to Pokesdown train station and the popular Southbourne Grove with its wide range of shopping facilities, eateries and bus routes.

The property is available for sale on a 50% shared ownership basis and hence offers a great route to home ownership without the need of raising a large mortgage or sum of cash.

Built in recent times the property is modern throughout and is well presented by the current owners benefitting from gas central heating and double glazing throughout.

Upon entering the property a hallway offers a built in storage cupboard and houses the entryphone handset with doors leading to all rooms.

The living room is of a pleasant size with ample room for both living and dining room furniture with a side aspect window and rear aspect velux style window. A boxed arch leads open plan through to the kitchen which is in our opinion proportionally generous fitted with a range of both eye and base level storage cupboards finished in a stripped wood style. Contrasting working surfaces have tiled splash backs and there is space for a tall standing fridge/freezer, washing machine and gas hob. The kitchen also houses the gas combination boiler which serves both hot water and central heating.

The bedroom has a rear aspect velux window and offers room for a double bed and wardrobes. Adjacent to the bedroom the bathroom also has a rear aspect velux window and is fitted with a modern white suite comprising of low level WC, hand wash basin and panel enclosed bath with mixer tap and handheld shower over.

The property is ready for immediate occupation and whilst the current owners are looking to make an onward purchase may be able to offer a chain free sale for a quick move subject to negotiation. Internal viewing is recommended and can be arranged via the sellers chosen sole agents.

How does shared ownership work? You purchase a share of the properties full market value (50%) and pay a subsidised rent on the remaining share. You can raise a mortgage to purchase your share, if you have a large deposit or equity from the sale of a property, this can also be used towards purchasing your share.

You can sometimes later buy additional shares until you own 100%, if you wish to do so. This is called 'staircasing' and the cost of the additional shares is based on the market value of the property at the time that you purchase the shares. If you increase your share in the property, your rent is re-calculated and reduced proportionately.
