Mantovani was one of the most successful recording artists in the world during his heyday and Greensleeves is named after one of his most well-known records from the 1950s. The famous composer lived at the property between 1961 and 1976 where no doubt he entertained friends, family and the glitterati of the day . It sits on a largely level plot extending to nearly one acre with a most impressive carriage driveway, with the main residence set back some 120 ft. from the road.

The architectural style dates from the 1960s with the use of render as well as Purbeck stone but in more recent years Greensleeves has been sympathetically remodelled and modernised to incorporate contemporary influences. The accommodation now extends to around 4,830 square feet and incorporates five bedrooms, each with en-suite facilities. The decorative finishes throughout are crisp with light walls, inset downlights and wood floors featuring throughout much of the ground floor. The main sitting rooms have beautiful views of the sunny, west facing gardens and doors opening onto the private sun terrace. No doubt, Mantovani appreciated the peace and tranquillity of the gardens and he would surely have approved of the covered but open-air Garden/Dining Room with external lighting and heating, which was created in 2009.

The south wing of the house features a Family Room which connects to a much larger studio or entertaining area. The kitchen breakfast room is fitted with a range of luxury units with granite tops as well as a whole host of integrated appliances by Miele, amongst others.

Three of the five bedrooms occupy a separate wing on the ground floor, the grandest of which is the master suite with en-suite dressing and bathroom not to mention a dedicated Sitting/Reading Area, which also connects to the outside Garden Room via sliding doors.

Bedrooms Four and Five are located on the first floor featuring dormer and Velux windows. Both benefit from en-suite facilities and Bedroom Four boasts a separate sitting area too.

The grounds are mature and the rear garden faces west, making it ideal for afternoon sun. The location is perfect for anybody making a lifestyle move; shops, bars, boutiques and eateries are all nearby at Westbourne and one of the area?s most popular Blue Flag beaches at Branksome Chine is approximately one mile distant. Sandbanks is less than 10 minutes away by car, not to mention Poole Harbour and the various golf and leisure facilities which can be found in the wider area.
