Ainsworth Lord Estates Ltd are very very very pleased to be offering this truly amazing property for rent, and whilst the pictures are pretty good (even if we do say so ourselves).... the real thing is even better....

And as everyone knows, we only offer you nice properties for rent, well this raises the bar to new heights, for sure.

What we have here is a very different type of terraced property. From the outside you could not possibly imagine what it's like inside..... 6 bedrooms? I know you're probably thinking that most of them will be box rooms? well you're wrong. 5 of them are doubles - and good sized doubles at that!

Anyway, let me go someway to try and describe what we have on offer here....

Tucked away on Blackburn Rd in the Hollins Grove part of Darwen, is this unassuming garden-fronted, stone-built, terraced property.

You can park at the front or to the side, so no problems there.....
To enter this house you can use the side/rear entrance, or come up the garden path and through the large original wooden front door and into a spacious vestibule.

Then you pass through another original wooden glazed door into a beautiful and grand hallway (well, it's grand for this type of property). The first thing that gets your attention is the original floor tiles, all of which are in perfect condition. Second is the original coving and plasterwork, with the whole feel being quite something. It is then that you realise this is a property with true character and substance.

A majestic staircase takes your eyes from the hallway right up to the first floor..... and it all feels in proportion.

The Main Reception Room

(or Parlour as it may have been referred to in days gone by), is the first room on your left as you walk along the hallway.
Here, as you can see in the pictures it's a large room. Neutral colours complement the feel to this light and airy living room. A wood-burner nestles in the chimney breast.... and you can just imagine it lit on a winters evening adding a true homely feeling to your little palace...

The Second Reception Room, (or should be call it the Drawing Room?) is the next room along the hallway. This is the room you will probably use as your main living room.... or perhaps as an extra big dining room?
Original, yellow pine floorboards adorn the floor which are nicely in keeping with the character of this lovely property, accentuating the abundance of natural light that showers through the spacious double glazed windows. A neutral choice of colours decorate the walls and splendid ceiling.

Continuing down the hallway towards the rear of the property we find the Kitchen. I would call it a 'Family Kitchen' if there is such a thing. But then again you may choose to refer to it as (and use it as) a Dining Kitchen. After-all there's enough room to accommodate the largest of dining tables... and lets face it in a house of this size there's likely to be plenty of hungry bellies at meal times, so being able to have a large dining table in the kitchen is probably a good thing?
The kitchen also benefits from plenty of cupboard space, ample worktop space, a 5 ring gas burner, and built in Fridge Freezer. (An in case you haven't noticed yet.... there is no oven BUT we will fit a nice new one before you move in).

At the far end of the kitchen we have a Utility Room.... useful additional space for any home.
Here we have plenty of room to have 3, 4, 5 or more washing machines if you wish... or hide away that bulky chest freezer? Or it makes useful storage space...

First Floor....

The staircase to the first floor is situated in the hallway.

On this floor we have 4 bedrooms. 3 of which are large double bedrooms.
The Master Bedroom, which is situated at the front of the house benefits from Fitted Wardrobes all along one side of the room.... as you can see in the pictures.

The 4th Bedroom is the smallest in the house, and whilst it might be considered a single bedroom it is still a generous sized room.

There are 2 Bathrooms on this floor too.
Both bathrooms are finished to a very high standard. One has a bath with shower over and the other is a shower room

(but it's a large shower). See the pictures to get a feel for them.

Second Floor..
Another staircase leads up to the second floor where we have 2 spacious attic bedrooms. As you can see from the pictures, one of these double bedrooms even has an en-suite comprising a WC. wash basin and shower cubicle.

In summary...
We have a beautiful terraced property that has been decorated and finished to the highest standard, situated a convenient location that needs to be viewed to be fully appreciated.

The property is double glazed and is heated with Gas Central Heating.
