Occasional activities are also organised including informal coffee mornings in the residents lounge.
The residents lounge is located next door to the Managers office, which is known as Flat 1 and the bedroom with ensuite shower room is available for visitor use (£10.00 per night for 2 people or £7.50 per night for a single person. There is also a separate laundry where a coin operated washing machine and dryer is available at set times.
PURCHASING CONDITIONS:
1. As Windmill Close is a retirement community only purchasers over the age of 55 are allowed to live in the accommodation. Any prospective purchaser has to complete a simple application form to Accord Housing Association Limited via their West Bromwich office before a Sale can be completed. This form confirms identity and ages of the persons who wish to live in the apartment.
2. Small pets (cats, fish, birds etc) are allowed in the flats, however an agreement has to be obtained from neighbouring owners if a dog is to accompany any purchaser. If agreement cannot be obtained then permission is not allowed by the Association.
3. An annual service charge is payable to cover insurance for fixtures and fittings, the costs of managing and maintaining the estate, communal areas and gardens, Manager costs etc is charged quarterly in advance, the current cost for 2010 is £280.89 per quarter.
THE LEASE: It is understood that each purchaser will take a 99 year lease with Accord.
