"This charming house was originally a 'two up, two down' carpenters' cottage dating back to 1604, and has been updated over the years and offers plenty of period charm alongside modern day living. Off the generous light and airy entrance hall is a sitting room and dining room, part of the original house with the sitting room enjoying an inglenook fireplace and exposed beams, it is cosy in the winter and cool in the summer with a beautiful aspect over the sloping lawn and stream. The well appointed kitchen has plenty of built in units including a dresser, integrated appliances and has an excellent pantry, and has space for a table with a lovely view to the sun terrace. A useful utility room with plenty of storage, a boot room with access to the garage and garden and a guest cloakroom completes the ground floor accommodation.
Off the bright first floor galleried landing is a wonderful master bedroom; it is dual aspect and boasts an en suite bathroom with a spacious dressing room, and benefits from fabulous views over the garden. In addition there are three further bedrooms, two with built in wardrobes and a contemporary family shower room.
In all this is an exceptional house and grounds offering a wonderful blend of period charm, modern day living within a peaceful and private location with the flexibility to update if required.
