"Oldfield Wood, previously known as St Peters Convent, was converted in 1995 into a quite exceptional collection of high quality apartments and town houses. The Grade II* listing of the building meant that a great deal of the outstanding workmanship that originally went into it remained intact and this is apparent throughout this apartment and is undoubtedly part of what makes it such an exceptional home. Throughout there are a great many of the features that one would hope to find in a property of this stature such as high ceilings with attractive cornices, stunning original Douglas Fir joinery and beautiful lead light windows. Our clients have spent a great deal of time and effort during their time there updating the property with enormous attention to detail and doing so with high quality appliances and fittings and the result is an exceptional apartment of outstanding quality but also one into which an incoming buyer could move extremely easily.

All of the accommodation leads from a substantial hallway that runs the entire length of the apartment and immediately creates the feeling of space which runs through the property as a whole. At one end there is a beautifully proportioned drawing room with two fabulous lead light windows that allow in a great deal of natural light to a room which has a particularly warm and comfortable feel to it. In the centre of the room, there is a very attractive fireplace that creates a very pleasing focal point for this main living space and on the windows are beautiful S-Craft plantation style shutters. At the other end of the apartment, the kitchen has been refitted from scratch with an extensive array of wooden units and display cabinets, an enamel sink, fitted double oven and a stainless steel 5 burner hob with hood over. On the floor there are beautiful slate tiles while another delightful lead light window looks out over the front of the property. The master bedroom has been fitted out with a very comprehensive range of floor to ceiling wardrobes that provide this room with ample storage while the second bedroom is likewise a comfortable double and has a substantial lead light window that overlooks the central courtyard. The shower/bathroom has been completely refitted with a very attractive suite with tiled floor and walls and a large shower. Below the apartments there is a small cellar store room and access to a larger communal cellar. Throughout the apartment, the d?cor is very clean lined and neutral which adds greatly to the overall feeling of light and space. In short, this is rare opportunity to buy a remarkable conversion apartment in one of Woking's landmark period buildings."
