"This smartly presented home was originally constructed in 1962; typical of its period, it offers a practical layout with generously proportioned rooms lit by large picture windows that flood the rooms with natural light. Our clients have made substantial improvements in recent years including updating of the wiring, a modern central heating and pressurised hot water system, cavity wall insulation and re-fitment of the kitchen. They have also extended with the addition of a large double glazed conservatory leading off the living room and converted the loft in 2005 to create a new master bedroom with an en-suite.
Today it makes a very comfortable family home with a warm friendly atmosphere that is apparent from the moment you step into the large reception hall. This flows through into the large open plan lounge/dining room that splits itself into two defined areas, with the front aspect lounge area retaining its fireplace fitted with a gas/pebble effect fire and pine surround. To the rear is the dining area with a return door to the hall and French doors opening into the double glazed conservatory. This is a good-sized room for entertaining or just a lovely area to sit and enjoy the garden. The kitchen has been attractively refitted with a contemporary range of light grey gloss fronted units and contrasting granite worktops inset with a ceramic hob, cooker hood over and a separate Neff double electric oven to the side. The dishwasher is integrated and provision has been made for a washing machine and fridge/freezer. Completing the ground floor is a useful guest cloakroom.
To the first floor are three bedrooms and the family bathroom. The former main bedroom has a front aspect and has built-in wardrobes. The bathroom has been is fitted with a 3 piece ivory coloured suite. The staircase to the second floor has been neatly fitted rising to the master bedroom that is of a generous size with eaves storage cupboards, ample space for freestanding furniture and a Juliet balcony overlooking the rear garden.
