"This traditional family home has a lovely homely feel and all the right elements for a growing family with spacious, adaptable accommodation within easy walking distance of Shepperton village and Walton-on-Thames town centre, reputable schools, public transport and parks. Originally constructed in 1954 as a modest 3 bedroom property, it has evolved over the years into what is today a good sized home. Firstly, in 1981 with an extension to the kitchen, then shortly after in 1985 with enlargement of the dining room and the addition of an adjoining study. In 1989 the garage was replaced and a large first floor bedroom created over. Further improvements have taken place since our clients bought the house 17 years ago and undertook an extensive modernisation programme including updating the wiring, refitment of the kitchen and bathroom and most recently the installation of a new central heating boiler in 2012.
Step through the original oak front door into the entrance hall and you get a view straight through the kitchen to the rear garden. To the front is a bay fronted living room that is a lovely quiet room to relax. Beyond is the dining family room that forms the hub of the home, split into two defined areas with patio doors from the dining end onto the terrace and a snug family room. To one side is a separate study that has a door through into the 25? integral garage. Opposite is the kitchen that flows into the dining area. The kitchen has been comprehensively fitted with a range of beech wood style units including a pull out larder and with black granite worktops. A 900mm dual fuel range cooker with matching stainless steel cooker hood over is included, as is the integrated combination microwave/oven and refrigerator. Provision has been made for a dishwasher and laundry appliances. Completing the ground floor is a guest cloakroom.
To the first floor the boarded, insulated loft space has power and light and is accessed via a retractable ladder. There are 4 bedrooms, 3 being double rooms and the 4th a good single. To the front is the bay fronted master bedroom that has an extensive range of built-in wardrobes. The long double aspect second bedroom overlooks both the front and rear gardens and is accessed through the 3rd double bedroom. The tiled family bathroom has been attractively refitted with a modern 3 piece white suite including a thermostatic shower over the bath and a beech wood style vanity unit and matching airing cupboard that houses the Worcester Bosch gas fired combination boiler.
