"Shalford is a delightful Surrey village on the outskirts of Guildford with it's own village green and local pubs and the house sits on the outskirts of the village but still within a short stroll of the local shops and station which can also be found there. The house was built in the 1930's and has all the character that one associates with properties of ths era as well as a warm and comfortable feel which is part of what makes it such an attractive family home. At the front of the house there is an arched covered entrance porch with a beautiful stained glass front door that leads into a generous reception hall which leads to all the principal reception rooms. At the front there is a most attractive sitting room with a beautiful solid wood floor, a central fireplace with tiled insert and hearth and double glazed windows that overlook the front. On the back of the house there is a beautifully light and airy dining room of an excellent size which also has doors that lead out onto the terrace and rear garden. Also on the back of the house there is a kitchen/breakfast room which has been refitted by our clients with a range of high gloss units and deep wooden worktops which also includes a large breakfast bar area. From here there are double glazed windows overlooking the garden and a door that leads out onto the side. On the first floor there is a large double bedroom on the front with a wooden floor, a range of built in wardrobe cupboards and a delightful view out across The Chantries while on the back of the house there is a second double bedroom, again with wooden floor and double glazed window overlooking the garden. On the front is a third double bedroom again with a lovely view. On the back there is a family bathroom complete with bath and shower and a separate cloakroom. All in all the accommodation is well laid out of an excellent proportion."
