"Homes such as this are rarely available and, situated in a sought after road so close to the village centre, the house represents a real opportunity for the buyer to create a bespoke family home for many years to come. Our clients have maintained the property well, yet there is plenty of scope to enhance the size, subject to planning. The current accommodation features two reception rooms, both with fireplaces, together with a kitchen/breakfast room with plenty of space for a table - great for a quick family breakfast before the kids go off to school. Upstairs, all four bedrooms benefit from fitted wardrobes with pleasant views over either the front or rear garden which is a great family size with wooded backdrop. The owners tell us that one of the things they love is the convenient location which is within a few minutes walk of the bustling village centre with its shops, restaurants and amenities, yet still being situated in a quiet residential area with plenty of wildlife. The house was extended about 24 years ago to include a bedroom and significant garage with both power and light, perfect as a workshop, whilst there is plenty of private parking at the front. Many houses in the road have been extended over the years and we envisage the new owners will enhance the accommodation still further. There are plenty of good schools in the area too, again within walking distance, so you won't need to continually get the car out to ferry the kids in the morning!

What the Owner says:

We inherited the property nearly a quarter of a century ago, although it has been owned by the family since my father bought the plot and had the house built in 1929. As our family home, it holds many happy memories for us and we have cared for it well - but now it's too big for us and it's time to find something a bit smaller. We are sure the new owners will enjoy what the house and garden offer as much as our family has.
