"Overview
House Network are pleased to offer this charming town house in Bungay's conservation area and within approximately 2 minutes' walking distance of the town centre. The property is a link detached, nineteenth century town house, fully restored and with many original features retained. The restoration included the renovation of the roof and chimney stacks, installation of gas to the property and central heating, complete rewiring, fitting of new kitchen and two new bathrooms, as well as extensive replanting of the garden and the addition of a driveway to the premises.

The ground floor has a large kitchen/breakfast room with a hand made kitchen by a local joiner, a lounge and dining room, both with original fireplaces and sash windows, as well as many cupboards for storage.

The main staircase leads to the first floor where there are three bedrooms and two bathrooms, again with original fireplaces and sash windows. The second staircase provides access down to the kitchen area.

A walled outside courtyard has an outbuilding which is currently used as a garden shed/outside toilet. A gate leads back to the front of the house and large garden with several seating areas and with privacy provided by yew trees/hedges and new planting of shrubs and climbing plants.

Bungay itself is situated on the River Waveney north of Halesworth. There is a doctor's surgery, dental facilities as well as numerous clothing / antique shops, cafes and a lottery funded restored Theatre. The golf course is a short walk from the property and there are numerous pleasant walks around the golf course and heath.

There are good schools in the vicinity with private schools available in Norwich or Langley near Loddon, approximately 6 miles. The Suffolk coast seaside towns/beaches of Southwold and Dunwich are approx 17 miles away. The cathedral city of Norwich is approximately 17 miles to the north and has extensive shopping and business facilities. Main line trains run from Diss to Ipswich/London Liverpool Street, with Diss being approximately a 25 minute drive. The journey time from Diss to London is approximately 1 hour 40 minutes.
