Penarth Marina began to be developed from the late 1980's as part of the Cardiff Bay regeneration. The Marina provides a public house, restaurant and a Tesco superstore and other local amenities can be found in Penarth Town approximately 15 minutes walk.

The town of Penarth includes schools of good reputation, a range of good quality shops, a public library, leisure centre and various sporting clubs. The City of Cardiff is approximately 15 minutes drive and offers all the facilities of Europe's youngest Capital City.

Penarth has easy access to the M4 motorway via the A4232 to Junction 33 approximately 9 miles to the north. and good access to Cardiff International Airport approximately 9 miles to the west. Penarth has a train station giving a regular service to Cardiff Central, which provides a service to London every 30 minutes.
